Expo Plymouth Launch party

Expo Plymouth Launch party
Originally uploaded by Poo Bar.
Expo Plymouth took over the Terrace Cafe for their launch party - with lots of ‘experimental jazz’. This was about as close as was comfortable for me - very loud, electronic random noise not really being my scene.
Still it was a lovely evening and we had a great meal at the Village Restaurant in the Barbican beforehand.

Some cool, some humourous, looking forward to seeing something animated
Off to Expo Plymouth tonight (and over the weekend)
22 June 2007
Expo Plymouth, starts at 8.30pm on Friday 22nd at Terraces Café, Plymouth Hoe.
Organised by Sonic Arts, i-DAT and a host of others
The Expo festival is a free and fun annual event. It is the hub and playground of the experimental music and sound art scene in the UK and beyond.
Kicking off a packed weekend, legendary saxophonist Evan Parker plays with Behaviour Ensemble, a large group of performers playing bizarre electronic instruments, in what promises to be an unmissable sonic adventure. Starting at 8.30pm at Terraces Café, Plymouth Hoe, this show promises to be a stirring and truly beautiful experience.
From here, take a short walk to The Tinside Lido to witness a stunning sound and light show by the critically acclaimed Louise K Wilson in partnership with Pyramid Presentations between 9.30pm-10pm. The performance and installation explores the hidden aquatic soundscape of Plymouth and includes the sounds of fighting hermit crabs, a dogfish feeding frenzy and sub-aqua naval sounds.
